Château la Tour Apollinaire, Templar Suite. Exceptional family luxury suite on two floors with fully equipped kitchen, grand salon, 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and spectacular private terrace. The château was named for Picasso's best friend Guillaume Apollinaire. Built by Apollinaire's uncle the Baron Després, the family hid the Templar Chapel behind a false wall during the Nazi occupation. Now the splendid secret chapel is revealed and restored. 12 minutes from the white sand beach at Canet.

 

Staying at Château La Tour Apollinaire means enjoying a unique setting, a half-hectare garden with many exotic plants, a beautiful swimming pool (available June - October, unheated) and modern apartments, all in a Belle Époque château. It's the ideal place to visit Perpignan and the surrounding region while enjoying the gentle Catalan lifestyle.

You will have private access to your apartment. The gardens, reception rooms and swimming pool are shared with guests from other apartments.

The secret château is tucked away behind a Perpignan city street. Walk over the bridge on the Têt River and find yourself in historic downtown Perpignan, with many excellent restaurants, museums, and historic attractions like the Castillet and the Palace of the Kings of Majorca. The beautiful La Bassa River and its gardens run through the charming city center.

 

Free guest parking on the premises behind a private gate with your own automated entry key. Walking distance to the city center and restaurants, or drive and park at the Place Arago parking garage. Many beautiful historic towns and wineries are a short drive away. Walking distance to two supermarkets, a pharmacy, and a good bakery. Ten minute drive to the Perpignan airport. The beautiful white sand beach at Canet-en-Roussillon Is a twelve minute drive from the château.

 

The Templar Suite is fully air conditioned. It is on the third floor (deuxieme étage) of the château, up the grand staircase and a second smaller staircase. Please ask Thierry for assistance with your luggage if needed. For heavy luggage we can provide valet service, unpacking and hanging clothes for you.

My husband and I recently stayed w our two young kids along with my sister and her husband, and we all loved the Templar 3 room apartment! It was exactly as pictured and described, if anything more spacious than the pictures portray! There were two big flights of stairs to get to the apartment, but the patio and views were totally worth it. Veronica and Theirry were both so responsive and helpful, and my sister and I both enjoyed reading thru their guidebook and recommendations. Theirry went above and beyond to ensure there were enough pool toys for my kids, which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Having dedicated pool towels was so nice as well. Laundry was shared, but we were able to easily get done what we needed during our stay. Thank you again, Theirry and Veronica! We made such great memories!

We (family of 5 with kids aged 12,16 and 19) had a wonderful time at the chateau. The appartment is beautiful, spacious and has an excellent kitchen and the property including the garden and pool is fantastic- our kids spend all their afternoons enjoying the pool. Victoria and Thierry are great hosts, very responsive and with very helpful local recommendations. We can highly recommend the place.

We loved this place! The chateau was utterly delightful, and our flat was superb. The aircon was great, we had beautiful bedrooms, the kitchen was perfect, and the (huge) living space was ideal for a family of four. The vast terrace, with its majestic views, was a highlight. Ten minutes walk into old Perpignan made it a great location. Finally, Victoria, Steve and Thierry could not have been more welcoming. Loved it!!!

We love this place, and came back for our second summer in a row. The apartment fits really well for our family of five (kids 4, 9 and 14). We spent all evenings and most meals on the large balcony. And the kids had a great time in the pool. Victoria, Steve and Thierry provide great service, and are quick to respond to requests. Perpignan and the smaller towns in the region are great for exploring, with their cosy old centers, nice restaurants and small shops. We rely on public transport, and this is not a problem here. We hope to come back in the future!

We had a lovely couple of days stay at the Chateau which is an amazing space. Thierry met us with a welcome Aperitif whilst he explained all the facilities. He was very responsive and helpful during our stay and we couldn't have been made more welcome. The space itself is enormous and very well equipped. The beds were really comfortable and the place was really peaceful. The apartment is on the top floor so would be difficult for people with mobility isuues or for young children. The gardens were lovely and peaceful and the pool was great and the place felt really secure and safe. The apartment it a 15 to 20 minute easy walk into the centre of Perpignan and there is a local supermarket close by as well as a large Super U less than 10 minutes walk away with lots of choice. Although we didn't drive there was plenty of parking available. We also couldn't heap enough praise on Thierry. He was passionate about the Chateau, so helpful and responsive and lovely.

If you want a blend of French chateau with modern amenities and mountain views, it’s here! Surrounded by olive and lemon trees, palms, and the Pyrenees, our family had an incredible time. A short walk to the town center with two boulangeries nearby. We had more than enough space and Victoria and Thierry handled everything. You’ll definitely enjoy your stay! We already miss it.

Beautiful apartment and walkable to the center (25 minutes). Not a lot to do in the immediate vicinity because a lot of stores and restaurants were closed. We were there Saturday evening until Monday morning. Thierry, our host, really made our stay special. He was informative and so helpful. Our apartment was just as shown in the photos and the chateau and grounds were beautiful. Private parking with easy in and out really made things simpler for us. Thanks for a great stay!

This was one of the best AirBnB stays we've ever had. Victoria and Thierry were so incredibly kind and welcoming. The chateau itself is absolutely beautiful with so much thought and good taste put into every aspect of our stay. We were a family of 2 adults and 3 children, and enjoyed every single aspect of our stay from start to finish. The pool is beautiful, clean, and calm, and the flat itself is characterful, historic, and charming. We had a car but the walk to Perpignan centre is a short 10 minute walk, and a grocery store a few minutes away. Our only wish for this trip is that we could have stayed longer! With profuse thanks to Victoria and Theirry and we can't wait to return one day!

Een pareltje van rust. Enorm genoten van ons verblijf hier. Ontvangst van Thierry was super, we voelden ons gelijk erg welkom. Het zwembad was heerlijk verkoelend en ruim zodat de kinderen dit ook één van de mooiste accomodaties van onze trip vonden. De omgeving was prima, klein stukje lopen naar het centrum van Perpignan. Victoria kon ons veel vertellen over de historie (en toekomstplannen) van het Chateau. Een auto is handig om de omgeving wat meer te ontdekken, die hadden we helaas op ons trein avontuur niet.

What a wonderful stay in this beautiful old building. Victoria & Thierry provided the warmest of welcomes! It was a lovely touch that Thierry let us know when the pool was cleaned and ready for the day! Super peaceful location and great access to all the region has to offer. The quality of the fixtures, fittings, beds, linens etc were excellent. There’s a super market really close by which was handy for supplies. The air-con was very effective & definitely needed! Rent och välstädat när vi kom. Lägenheten var bekväm, rymlig och hade allt vi kunde tänkas behöva. Värdar för boendet var hjälpsamma och mycket vänliga. Vi kände oss väl omhändertagna. Vi hade bil och tog oss runt till platser enkelt från boendet och det låg på alldeles lagom gång avstånd in till centrala Perpignan. Kan verkligen rekommendera boendet!

El chateau es un gran lugar para descubrir y pasar unas vacaciones. La suite de los templarios es tan buena o mejor que en las fotos. Tiene tres grandes habitaciones y tres baños completos, además de un salón inmenso, una cocina con todo lo necesario y una terraza enorme. Valoramos la amplitud de los espacios, la comodidad absoluta, la independencia y la atención brindada tanto por Thierry (que nos recibió con un delicioso aperitivo) como Victoria. Estuvimos en pleno invierno y siempre estuvimos a gusto con la calefacción. Se llega andando al centro, unos quince minutos a pie. Y tiene mucho espacio para aparcar. Encantados con todo.

Notre séjour de 5 jours dans ce logement a été tout simplement exceptionnel. L'espace généreux, les chambres luxueuses et élégantes avec leurs salles de bain privées ont ajouté une touche de glamour à notre séjour. Le vaste séjour était parfait pour se détendre, et la cuisine était équipée de manière impeccable pour préparer de délicieux repas. De plus, l'extérieur était tout simplement magnifique, avec une jolie piscine qui a ajouté une dimension de rêve à notre séjour. En outre, nous étions à proximité du centre-ville de Perpignan, ce qui a rendu nos déplacements très pratiques. Thierry nous a réservé un accueil chaleureux et s'est montré extrêmement sympathique et réactif, veillant à ce que nous ne manquions de rien. Une expérience inoubliable, nous y retournerons sans hésiter.
